This runway show was held in the Grand Palais, one of Paris’ most iconic monuments. A birdcage placed at the center of the stage was inspired by one that decorated the apartment of the house’s founder, Gabrielle Chanel. The object served to symbolize an avian theme, with the light texture of the chiffon, subtle slits offering a glimpse of skin, and the dainty feather accents faithfully embodying the bold and free spirit of Chanel.
